48 Emergency HVAC Contractors in Reno, NV

Reno's climate makes HVAC emergencies genuinely dangerous: 95°F summer highs and 22°F winter lows leave little margin when a system fails without warning. The emergency HVAC Reno market is well-staffed for the city's size — 15 contractors, all 24/7, averaging a strong 4.8 rating across more than 3,300 reviews. That rating is notably higher than the broader Reno HVAC market average, suggesting customers seeking emergency service tend to find reliable providers.

After-hours service calls on weekday nights run $165–$330. Weekend calls land at $193–$358, and holiday or major-holiday calls push to $248–$495. Standard repairs on top of these call fees can add $3,850 or more for major components. Every contractor must hold the C-21 license from the Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB).

Legacy Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical earns consistent reviews for proactive communication and same-day completion on full system work. At Hawthorne Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, technicians Anthony, Chris, Josh, and Ralph are cited by name for going beyond the original scope on difficult calls. Ira Hansen and Sons Plumbing has a strong reputation for Gary specifically — multiple reviewers describe him discovering ancillary problems, like an unconnected gas vent on a water heater call, and fixing them without additional charges. That no-extra-charge policy appears across multiple reviews as a defining trait.
