255 AC Installation Contractors in Columbus, OH

Columbus sits in central Ohio where humid summers push highs to 85°F and January averages 22°F, meaning HVAC systems run hard in both directions. That year-round demand makes ac installation Columbus a considered investment rather than a quick swap. The market is substantial — 56 contractors serving the metro, averaging 4.7 stars across more than 32,000 reviews, with 27 offering 24/7 service.

Costs range from $150 for a window unit to $12,000 or more for central AC replacement with existing ductwork; ductless mini-splits typically run $2,000–$8,000 per zone. Ohio requires HVAC contractors to hold a state-issued license through the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board — residential work falls under separate local jurisdiction in some municipalities, so confirming current licensure before signing a contract matters.

Atlas Butler draws nearly 8,000 reviews at 4.7 stars, with Tyler Landis and Karon Williams named specifically for careful work. Fire & Ice Heating and Air Conditioning (4.9 stars) earns repeated mentions for emergency responsiveness — customers describe scrambling during Ohio winter storms and getting same-day service. Logan Services teams are noted for introducing themselves at the door and explaining their process throughout installation, catching problems early rather than staying quiet.
