76 AC Repair Contractors in Bend, OR

Bend sits at 3,600 feet in the high desert east of the Cascades, where July highs climb to 88 F and humidity drops to just 30 percent. That dry heat still pushes residents toward cooling systems, creating steady demand for AC Repair in Bend throughout summer. The city also sees January lows near 22 F with periodic sub-zero nights, meaning dual-season load profiles drive year-round contractor activity. Eighty-five contractors serve the area with an average rating of 4.0 stars from over 14,000 verified reviews.

Oregon requires contractors to hold a Limited Journeyman Heating, Ventilating and Cooling credential alongside a CCB contractor license, ensuring baseline competence across the trade. For Bend homeowners, typical service costs run fairly predictable: diagnostic calls range $83 to $220, while refrigerant recharges for modern R-410A systems fall between $165 and $770 depending on system size and charge volume. Capacitor replacements, a common failure point in desert conditions, cost $132 to $495 including labor. These figures reflect the current market and can shift based on parts availability and seasonal demand.
